- 6 cups cubed day-old bread
- 1 ½ cups mixed berries
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- Powdered sugar for topping
Instructions
- Grease a baking dish generously.
- Spread bread cubes evenly in the dish.
- Scatter berries over the bread.
- Beat cream cheese until smooth.
- Whisk in eggs, cream, sugar, vanilla, and salt.
- Pour mixture evenly over bread and berries.
- Press gently and let rest 15 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 minutes until set.
Notes
You can use fresh or frozen berries. This dish can be assembled the night before and baked fresh in the morning. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
