Description

These oven-baked pigs in a blanket are flaky, golden, and irresistibly cozy. Juicy mini sausages wrapped in buttery dough make the perfect appetizer for parties, family nights, or comforting snacks straight from the oven.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package mini sausages (14 oz)
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Optional: sesame seeds or poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll crescent dough and cut into small triangles or strips.
  3. Pat sausages dry with paper towels.
  4. Wrap each sausage with dough and place seam-side down.
  5. Whisk egg with water and brush over dough.
  6. Sprinkle with optional toppings.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm with dipping sauces.

Notes

Dry sausages before wrapping for better baking. Reheat leftovers in the oven for crisp results. These can be assembled ahead and frozen unbaked.
